What 60 free minutes cover
Every started minute costs 1 credit, so you can work out the fit before you begin.
| Episode length | Credits used | After this episode |
|---|---|---|
| 30:00 | 30 credits | 30 credits left, enough for another 30 minutes |
| 45:20 | 46 credits | 14 credits left |
| 60:30 | 61 credits | Short by 1 credit |
Link confirmations show an estimate from the feed. The charge uses the real audio length, which can run a few minutes longer when ads are inserted.
What stays the same, what is limited
The same as a paid account
- One transcription quality, with automatic language detection or a language you choose
- Timestamps, search inside the transcript, and audio that follows along
- AI summary, chapters, key points and quotes
- Export to TXT, Markdown, SRT and VTT
Limited on free credits
- 60 minutes once, not a monthly allowance
- One transcription at a time
- Audio is removed after 7 days; the transcript, AI insights and exports stay
- Queues behind paid transcriptions when the system is busy
When PodText is not the free tool you want
Some jobs fit another tool better, and it is quicker to know that now.
- You want free minutes that renew every month.
- You will not create an account. PodText needs a Google sign-in.
- You need speakers labeled by name.
- You want to edit the transcript inside the app.
